Delhi: BAE Systems and Mahindra Defence are in discussion to jointly develop an Indian mine protected vehicle based on BAE Systems’ highly successful RG-31 mine protected vehicle. BAE Systems has already supplied 165 mine protected vehicles known as Casspir to the Indian Army since 1999. At this year’s 5th Defence and Naval Exhibition (DEFEXPO), a BAE Systems RG-31 will be on display on the Mahindra Defence stand.
12 Feb,2008Mumbai: The Board of Investments of Sri Lanka and Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Limited (MLDL) signed an MOU to develop a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Sri Lanka at Katunayeke today. This was in the presence of a high powered delegation to Sri Lanka led by Hon’ble Shri Jairam Ramesh, Minister of State for Commerce, with Indian Industrialists and Heads of Indian Corporates, including Mr. Arun Nanda, Vice Chairman, Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Limited. The SEZ will stretch over 65 acres and will be for mixed-use development.
12 Feb,2008Delhi: The 5th Defence and Naval Exhibition, DEFEXPO, will for the first time see a BAE Systems mine protected vehicle, the RG-31, on the Mahindra Defence stand. The companies are in discussion to jointly develop an Indian mine protected vehicle based on the highly successful RG-31. Nearly 600 RG-31 vehicles are in service with US, Canadian and a number of other forces including the United Nations. 624 RG-31 have been ordered for the Pentagon’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) programme.

A special project initiated by the faculty and students of MUWCI, the Van Vihar Biodiversity Park & Reserve covers approx. 170 acres and aims to enhance the existing species of flora and fauna in this section of the Western Ghats which is considered a global biodiversity hotspot by environmentalists across the world.

30 Jan,2008Nashik: Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s largest utility vehicle manufacturer with a global presence today dispatched 500 vehicles including Scorpio and Bolero SUVs and their pick-up range (both single and double cabs) to Ghana. The vehicles are for the use of Government of Ghana. The 500 Mahindra Vehicles marks the largest ever one time export consignment to Ghana by Mahindra to be rolled out from the company’s Nashik manufacturing facility .
